A la Russe
The Squire’s Daughter is A la Russe collection inspired by a story by Alexander Pushkin. The figure of a young lady living in an estate embodies noble sophistication with spontaneity of youth and closeness to nature. On several prints wheat reaps are matching empire-styled elements of harness. On another composition, rye spikes and field flowers bouquets are weaved with ancient Russian tracery, yet sounding light and romantic.
The laces feature familiar elements of harness and rye reaps, but the austere symmetric composition defines parade-like, Empire mood. The A la Russe logo is placed in the centre of composition.
